HONOR has launched a smartphone built around an integrated motorised camera mechanism intended for cinematic mobile video production.

The company describes the device as using a compact mechanical gimbal that can move the camera for stabilisation, positioning and AI-assisted motion. The imaging system also incorporates selected elements associated with professional cinema workflows through HONOR's collaboration with ARRI.

According to the official announcement, the main camera supports ARRI LogC3 recording in a dedicated cinema mode, alongside wide-gamut colour and look options. The company also describes AI-based noise reduction and dynamic-range optimisation as part of the video pipeline.
