Adobe has made three generative-audio capabilities broadly available through its Firefly creative platform: Generate Music, Generate Speech and Generate Sound Effects.

Generate Music is designed to produce original tracks matched to a video's duration and mood. Generate Speech converts written scripts into voiceovers with controls for delivery, while Generate Sound Effects creates sounds intended to match a described action, timing or atmosphere.

The update is relevant to video producers, podcast makers, social-media creators, advertisers and students learning multimedia production. It shows how audio creation is increasingly being integrated into the same workspace as image and video generation.

Adobe also says its Firefly AI Assistant now has a free experience with daily generations. The platform has added support for another multimodal model that can work with combinations of video, audio, images and text.

Creators should still review every output before publication. Appropriate checks include factual accuracy, pronunciation, licensing terms, consent for any voice-related use, platform rules and whether AI-generated material is suitable for the intended audience.
